Answering The Most Common Questions

Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about the Multicultural Media Producing Program (MMPP).

The MMPP is designed to train students to become news producers and newsroom leaders. Through academic curriculum and an internship, students will learn the foundational principles of news producing and gain real world experience in a newsroom.

MMPP courses are offered by the Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis. The internship is conducted at WISH-TV television station in Indianapolis.

The MMPP is a one-year certificate program.

The MMPP will be anchored by Amanda Owen-Pride who teaches Communications and is the Department Chair for the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education at Ivy Tech Community College – Indianapolis. The Circle City Broadcasting news leadership team will oversee internship training and development. The Circle City Broadcasting news leadership team will serve as adjunct professors to the program.
